Carrying with an Empty Chamber

Carrying  with a Round in the Chamber, Not Carrying with an Empty Chamber

Every now and again, I will get in debates about carrying with an empty chamber. For me, there is no debate. I will never carry a firearm for personal protection on an empty chamber. I go into the time it takes to put a round in the chamber in this video. Let me discuss what I left out in the video. What’s the risk and benefit of carrying with an empty chamber? For many, it’s the safety of not having a negligent or  accidental when carrying. That’s the benefit. The risk is you will not have enough time or the ability to put a round in the chamber when you need to.  This means you have the potential to lose your life or your love’s life in an attack.  Too often than not, people who carry with an empty chamber don’t training. Or their training they have received in the past is taken out of context. If you are going to carry, carry with a round in the chamber. If you do not feel comfortable to carry with around in the chamber, go get professional training by a competent instructor.

Best of the Best

I would like to introduce two best of the best soldiers in the Arkansas National Guard. SGT Mizer and SSG Loar were the top two soldiers for the Reconnaissance Platoon Stakes. This is a call for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to be a part of best in Arkansas. They competed with other soldiers in the state to enter most elite platoon in the state, HHC 1/153 Recon PLT. They were awarded a “Carbine Fundamentals” course for their outstanding performance. Give these Warriors a hand!
